Blasphemy in popular music will reign and take the place of curse word rap and hip-hop in the
coming decade.
This is something I know will happen based on the Bible and its prophesies and my power of
deduction. How can I be so sure that blasphemy will have a hit run in the music industry? After
all, most people with whom I have spoken and questioned on the subject (who have no Bible
knowledge) feel that like all music it is just a fad and sooner or later the public will not find curse
words put to music amusing. Wishful thinking I’d say!
For those of you who give clout to the words of the Bible let us examine 2 Timonthy 3: 1-5, 7, & 13
which reads:
„3:1 But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here.
2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal,
3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness,
4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God,
5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away.
7 always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.
13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.“
Based upon the above warning about the attitudes of the multitude (majority of people) in the last
days, is it not logical to see how this could/will develop?
Also have you ever considered the very nature of the generations (parents and their children)?
Call to mind that of your own children.
I can most definatively see and hear the offspring of todays rap artists telling their parents, „Well,
you said ……… on record. I gotta, and will top that“.
I assure you it will be shocking the form their “topping it” will take.
In the 1980’s we had a heavy metal french group called Blaspheme.
The group didn’t get very far probably because 1) they refused to speak the language of the masses
which is of course English and 2) we were not at that time as deep into the last days of this system as we are now. Have a look at some of their track titles in the link. Looking at the
track titles should give you a clue in which direction things will very soon head in the music industry.
With the internet as the up and coming media of the 21st century (still in its infancy) it is the
perfect breeding ground for such work to surface and flourish. It may though come from another
source or veune. Time will tell!!!
As warned in the 13th verse of the above scripture, let us not be mislead by those leading the
masses to destruction. Take a stand and teach your children about the Bible and the Good News
for mankind who are obedient to God found within the pages of this great book.
As a recording artist I intend to be true to those who like clean music. Whether I am performing music of the dance, ballad, jazz, pop, r&b, big band, soul, or funk genre. My music is shaped by divine truth, but
is not expressed solely in the styles of Gospel and/or religious music only.
It will become increasingly more and more difficult to find supporters of untainted, clean and fun music so I ask you to support our Artists Fundraising Webathon Group.
